"These Synods applaud the production of the Diocesan Green Charter and commit the dioceses to implementing its content in every possible way."

At the time of the Synod, the Diocesan Annual Environmental Awareness Competition was launched. This competition allows parishes to submit projects of change which positively enhance our Environment and have been implemented by each parish over the preceding year. Winners of each category are announced at Diocesan Synod annually. The closing date for entries is the 30th April annually and to view our competition leaflet please click here.
In the Spring of 09 the first of our Diocesan Eco Awareness Seminar was held in Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow. The next Seminar will be held in Kilkenny College on Saturday 15th May 2010 from 1.15 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. The theme of the afternoon will be Water - We can't live without it.
